If you’re reading this then we’re sure you know how influencers can be a great way to increase your brand’s awareness and engage your target audience. However, how do you engage them? Here are our favourite (and simple!) tips for using influencers.
Understand the influencer: Before approaching an influencer, take the time to understand the type of content they create and what performs well across their platform. This will also help you understand what type of audience they have and what type of content is going to perform well across their profile.
Reach out: When you’re ready to approach an influencer, reach out to them via email or direct message on social media. We recommend always trying to reach out via email if you can. Most influencers will have their email address available in their Instagram or TikTok bio however by accessing their profile via a mobile, they usually have an ‘email’ button which will provide you with their email address (see here).
Captivate them: In your outreach message, be clear about what you are offering, and what is required from them. This should include:
Engaging influencers can be time consuming, however when done correctly and all details are included in your outreach email / direct message it will significantly decrease the time spent answering questions down the line and increase the chances of capturing their interest.
